Mobilizing Technology Volunteers for Social Good

A Brief Thank-You to Google Grants

Dear Google Grants,

Thank you sincerely for the kindness you have given to the nonprofit community with your Google Grants program, available through application, to the nonprofit community. Several nonprofits that I consult with have benefited greatly from your incredible program.

One organization in particular, for instance, has gained important access to a wide, new audience through the Grants program. While it’s hard to know, for instance, exactly how many volunteers have been recruited to its cause, it’s safe to say that its mission and message are carried to a larger audience each day through the program that you provide. Site visits are up measurably since the program’s inception and, in a web heavily commercial, the Grants program has helped carve out visibility for an organization that would normally not be able to compete. In numbers, this translates into about 100-200 site visits (clicks) per day. That’s impressive and apparently, we’re not alone!

Of course, setup and monitoring of the program has always been simple and seamless; for that we thank you too. Online advertising is a skillset, and thankfully, your program makes it easy for neophytes to learn the basics and get started.

Of course, I write a public thank-you to inform others of the services that you provide; may their social missions prosper through your work.

Wishing all a good evening,

–Dave / CK
